Chillicothe Police Report For Friday

The Chillicothe Police Department responded to 75 calls for service Friday.

1:41 am, Officers were called to the 100 block of N. Herriford Street for a violation of a protection order.  A 53-year-old Chillicothe resident was taken into custody for the violation.  He became very uncooperative and had to be physically subdued.  He was taken to the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.

11:04 am, Officers responded to the 600 block of South Washington Street, for an accident.  No injuries were reported and the drivers exchanged information.

12:17 pm, Officer investigated property damage to a vehicle parked overnight on a business parking lot in the 1000 block of Graves Street.  Someone had punctured a vehicle tire.

12:24 pm,  Officers checked suspicious activity in the 1300 block of Monroe Street.  They obtained information about possible harassment of a tenant at the facility.  The investigation is ongoing.

12:39 pm, Officers were called to the 100 block of Ryan Street for a man chasing another man with a machete.   A 30-year-old Kansas City man was stopped by officers while attempting to leave the scene and was taken into custody.  He was transported to the Daviess/DeKalb County Regional Jail and held pending charges.

3:42 pm, Officers investigated a report of a possible juvenile sex offense in the 500 block of W. Mohawk Rd.   The report was called to the Child Abuse and Neglect Hotline and the investigation is continuing.
