Trenton Council Gives Time On Utility Bills

The Trenton City Council discussed delinquent utility bills as part of their meeting Monday.  Council Member Glen Briggs gave a recap of a portion of the meeting.  He says

The discussion focused on utility bills and what to do with those who can’t pay. He says various options were discussed with the full understanding that, unfortunately, some people are going to take advantage of the situation.  The Council decided to allow people up to 60 days to pay bills provided that they pay at least 50% of the past due balance and no portion of the past due balance can go beyond 60 days.

People who are unable to pay need to contact Trenton City Hall as soon as possible and City Hall will help direct them to potential resources that might be able to assist
