Two DWI arrests are reported by the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department for the early part of May.
On May 1st, at about 11:00 pm, a deputy on Route B had a vehicle come into his lane and nearly hit the patrol vehicle. The deputy stopped the vehicle and arrested 32-year-old Devin Ryan Thomas Volker of Chillicothe for alleged DWI. He was processed and released.
On May 6th, just after midnight, a deputy stopped a semi on US 36 near the Caldwell County line for a traffic violation. Following an investigation, the driver, 25-year-old Anas A. Alkarmi of Chicago, Illinois was arrested for alleged DWI under drugs, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and the traffic offense.  The trucking company dispatched another driver to retrieve the truck.
