There are times when you or a family member may be in need of a walker, wheelchair, or other pieces of medical equipment, but the cost may be too high to go out and purchase that item for short term use. Jessica Adkins from ACCESS II, Independent Living in Gallatin says they have a program that can help.
Adkins says some of the pieces require a deposit.
The equipment is cleaned and sanitized when they get the items in and when they are returned, so they are ready for use by the next person.
She says they also accepted donations of equipment.
