An inmate at the Chillicothe Correction Center died June 27th. The Missouri Department of Corrections announced 52-year-old Laura Wheat died at 12:09 am at Headrick Medical Center. An autopsy will be performed.
Wheat had been at the Chillicothe Correction Center since September 10th of 2013. She was serving a seven years sentence for three counts of driving while intoxicated.
