Chillicothe Police Department Moving Forward With K9 Program

The Chillicothe Police Department is moving forward with plans for a K9.  The City council on Monday gave the approval to continue with the plans that would include Sergeant Jeremiah Grider obtaining the dog and training through his GI Bill.  City Administrator Darin Chappell explains.

Chappell says there is a definite need for another K9 in the area.

Under the contract with Sergraant Grider, should he leave the department in the first five years, the dog would remain with the department.
