Chillicothe Police Report For Tuesday & Wednesday

Chillicothe Police were busy both Tuesday and Wednesday.

Tuesday:

12:12 am, Officers responded to a report of burglary and theft in the 10 block of Clay Street.  The Owner of property advised an unknown person entered a camper and removed an electronic item from the camper without the owner’s consent.

8:38 am, Officers took an accident report at the intersection of Washington Street and 3rd Street.  A southbound semi-truck pulling a trailer, caused minor damage to the trailer and to a light signal cover while making a right turn onto Third Street.  Information was obtained and the Highway Department was advised.

11:40 am, Officer taking a report of a theft of a cell phone from mail delivered to an address in the 800 block of Walnut Street.  Investigation continuing.

1:04 pm, Officer responded to 619 South Washington Street on a report of the theft of a cell phone from a display.  Investigation continuing.

3:50 pm, Officers responded to Chilli Bay Water Park for a juvenile causing problems.  The juvenile was contacted and advised that he was to leave and not return for the rest of the season.

11:10 pm, Officers were requested to provide assistance in an investigation, by another law enforcement agency.

Wednesday:

3:12 am, Officer responded to the 1000 block of Fair Street for a report of stealing.   The victim stated someone had stolen their bicycle.

6:24 am, Officers responded to a business in the 1100 block of Walnut Street about trespassing.  The person was advised to leave the premises and not return.

6:46 am, Officers responded to the 300 block of JFK in reference to a theft from a vehicle.   There was no forced entry and the owner advised several credit and debit cards had been taken. Someone has attempted to use these cards at various websites and locations.   The investigation is continuing.

1:24 pm, Officer took a complaint of an individual doing business with no City license.

1:31 pm, Officers took a report of the theft of tools from a truck that occurred between 07/03/2020 and 07/06/2020 while parked in the 500 block of N. Washington Street.

2:23 pm, Officers received a report of a protection order violation and arrested a 40-year-old for the violation.  The person was processed and transported to the Daviess/DeKalb County Regional Jail.

Officers responded to several reports of fireworks use.  Residents are reminded fireworks can only be used in the Chillicothe City limits from July 1st to the 4th.
