COVID-19: Several Data Sources

As the number of COVID-19 cases in the state of Missouri continues to climb, data is gathered by several state agencies.  Not all of that data is at the same level of timely reporting.  KCHI relies on data provided by the Livingston County Health Center, Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, and The Missouri Department of Corrections.

As of Friday morning:

  • The Livingston County Health Center reported 27 cases of COVID-19.
  • The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services reported 24 cases in Livingston County.
  • And at the Chillicothe Correction Center, the Missouri Department of Corrections reported 24 offender case.  They also reported 5 staff cases that may or may not reside in Livingston County.

KCHI is trying to give you the best information on the number of cases that are documented locally.  Not all of the numbers will match.

Livingston County Health Center Director Sherry Weldon says no matter what the numbers show, we need to continue to practice social distancing, good hygiene and limiting in-person interactions.

If you are sick, particularly with a fever and a cough, or shortness of breath, stay home and contact your health care provider or urgent care center for guidance regarding symptoms and next steps.
