The number of cases of COVID-19 in the area counties increased throughout the week and there are two additional deaths from COVID-19. The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Service notified the Grundy County Health Department of the first death of a Grundy County resident due to COVID-19. Friday afternoon, Caldwell County posted they have also been notified of a death resulting from COVID-19. That brings the total number of deaths in the local counties to three.
