Linn Co Audit Findings

The Missouri State Auditor’s Office has completed an audit of Linn County covering two years, ending December 31st, 2019.
Four recommendations were made in the Audit. The first says that the County Treasurer should periodically review with the bank that its deposits are fully collateralized with securities pledged and FDIC insurance.
The second was recommending the county develop the required internal control documentation.
The third was to implement procedures to ensure the documentation of internal controls over federal awards is addressed going forward.
The final recommendation was the county should implement procedures to ensure the Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards is prepared in accordance with federal requirements.
