The Chillicothe Street Department will soon have a new loader. The City Council approved the purchase of a Catapillar loader from Foley Equipment in Chillicothe. The loader is priced at $136,927 and the council approved a grapple attachment to the bucket for another $7,300.
City Administrator Darin Chappell says that is over the amount budgeted for the loader, but they can amend the budget.
The purchase was approved on a vote of 4-0.
