School Board To Discuss Levy And COVID-19 Response

The Chillicothe R-II School Board meets Tuesday to handle several items on the agenda.  The meeting will begin at 6:00 pm at Grand River Technical School.

They will begin with the recognition of the Field School Terrific Kids.

There will be a discussion on a proposed levy to support capital projects in the district.  The proposed increase is 40 cents per $100 valuation and would have a 10-year sunset.  The current 12 cent levy would be allowed to sunset in 2023.  If approved, the levy would generate about $573,000 of additional revenue.

The board will talk about COVID-19 response, including several grants and other funds.  They will also discuss the Schedules at the Middle School and discuss the Winter Sports programs.

An executive session is planned to follow the regular meeting.
