Get Flu Shots Before Flu Season Begins

Livingston County Health Center has flu shots available on October 27th.  The health center says the curbside flu shot clinic will be from 1:00 to 4:00 pm in the Health Center parking lot.  Appointments are required and can be made by calling 646-5506.

The CDC says it takes about two weeks for antibodies from the flu vaccine to get into a person’s body. By getting your flu shot by Oct. 31, the antibodies should be in place before the holidays and peak of flu season.

County residents 6 months of age and older can get vaccinated at the clinic.  Residents 65 and older should bring their Medicare card to the clinic and those with private insurance should bring their card as well.  Those without insurance can still get vaccinated at no out of pocket cost.

If you have questions, call 646-5506.
