– Missouri Department of Conservation offers online an Hunter’s Education Course. Certification cost $19.95. Enroll here.

– Missouri Department of Conservation released the “Fall Color Forecast” online. Find weekly updates on which trees are changing and where to get the best views at mdc.mo.gov/fallcolor.

Monday, September 14

-The Livingston County Commission cancelled the CAFO hearing scheduled for Tuesday, September 15. A rescheduled date is to be determined. Read more here.

-The Lillian DesMarias Youth Library opened. Hours of the youth library are currently: Monday through Thursday: 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. A community celebration and grand opening will be announced at a later time. -For a ride on the VA shuttle please call 660-359-2078. The shuttle runs to Kansas City VA every Wednesday. When scheduling pick up you will need to provide your name, last four of your social, date of travel, destination, and number of passengers riding with you.

Tuesday, September 8

-Missouri Department of Conservation revises regulations regarding coyote hunting and invasive species control. Revised regulations allow use of thermal imaging to hunt coyotes and control feral hogs on private property. The regulations become effective Monday, November 30, 2020. Friday, August 28

-Swan Lake National Wildlife Refuge opened for dove hunting. The north units along Refuge Road are open to hunting. All state and federal licenses are required. Hunting is done in accordance with Missouri state dove hunting regulations. For more information contact Steve Whitson; (660) 973-6349.
