One Bridge Done… One To Go

The West Yellow Creek bridge on Route 6, east of Milan in Sullivan County, is now open. Boone Construction Company and MoDOT reopened the bridge Tuesday after completing a bridge replacement project which began in late May. Work on replacing the Route 6 West Locust Creek Bridge near Humphreys continues and should be completed in early September.

Chillicothe School Board Sets Tax Rate

A tax rate hearing was held Tuesday for the Chillicothe R-II School district, and there were no public comments.  Superintendent Dan Wiebers says the rate is the same as last year. Wiebers says the district also took action to reduce their debt service at Tuesday’s meeting. He says this will leave the district in good financial standing for the year. […]
