The Livingston County Commission will conduct a meeting on February 27th at 9:30am in the Livingston County Commission Room in Chillicothe.

 

There  will be a parenting class called "Where's the Manual? Infants and Toddlers" on February 27th from 1:00-3:00pm at the North Central Missouri Mental Health Center in Trenton. For more information call 359-4487.

 

The Livingston County Library Children's Department will host a Cowboy/Cowgirl Roundup on February 27th from 6:00-7:00pm at the library for children ages 3-12. Registration is required. For more information and to register call 646-0563.

 

Thursday, March 1

The Livingston County Commission will conduct a meeting on March 1st at 9:30am in the Livingston County Commission Room in Chillicothe.

 

The Livingston County Women's Democratic Club will meet on March 1st from noon-1:00 at Royal Inn. All interested parties are welcome to attend.

 

Friday, March 2

Church Women United will meet March 2nd at 9:30am at Calvary Baptist Church to celebrate World Day of Prayer with a program titled "All God's Creation is Very Good."

 

A Veterans Service officer will be present at the Trenton VFW Post 919 on March 2nd from 8:00am-1:00pm to help with any VA paperwork. A Vet center councilor will also be present from 8:00am-noon to provide free, confidential help to veterans and family of active duty military.

 

The Chillicothe Education Association will host the 16th annual Chillicothe Team Trivia Championship on March 2nd from 7:00-10:00pm at Chillicothe High School. Teams may contain no more than 5 members, and the entry fee for each team is $35. For more information email Jim Wheeler at jwheeler@chillicotheschools.org.

 

The Trenton Chamber of Commerce is accepting baskets or items for their annual auction during their annual banquet, which is on March 16th. If you would like to donate, call Christy Farmer at 359-4324.

 

The Knights of Columbus and Bishop Hogan Memorial School are hosting a Lenten Fish Fry on the following Fridays: March 2nd, and March 9th at the school at 7:00pm. Proceeds go toward buying new computers and other supplies and equipment for the school.

 

Saturday, March 3

The Hamilton United Methodist Church will host a Road-Kill Chili Cook-Off on March 4th from 5:00-7:00pm at the Church. The Cook-Off will also include a Dessert Silent Auction. The Chili Contest entry fee is $5, and tickets to vote in the Contest are $1 each or 6 for $5. Prizes include Best Tasting Chili, Hottest Chili, Best Table Theme, and Highest Bid on a Desert. Free will donations will be accepted, and all proceeds go to missions.

 

Sunday, March 4

There will be an all-you-can-eat Fundraiser Taco Dinner on March 3rd from 5:00-7:30pm at the Jameson Lions Hall. There will be a complete taco buffet, dessert and drinks. A free will donation will be accepted with all proceeds going to the Village of Jameson.

 

Tuesday, March 6

The Trenton Area Chamber of Commerce will host a Chamber Coffee on March 9th from 7:30-9:00am at The Space, located at 1013 Main St. in Trenton.
