Brookfield Police Report Includes Three Arrests

The Brookfield Police Department reported several items from earlier this week. February 10th at about 9:10 pm, officers arrested 45 year old Luella Hewitt of Laclede, on a Linn County warrant for alleged Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Use/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Brookfield School Board Meets Tuesday

The Brookfield School Board meets Tuesday evening at the High School Library. The meeting includes approval of the 2017/18 audit, a procedure for the virtual classes, a discussion about health and life insurance, they will set the 2019/20 District Calendar and consider a budget amendment. An Executive session is planned.  The Brookfield School Board meeting is Tuesday evening.

Seckington Leads Meadville at State XC

Meadville’s Dillon Seckington finished 9th individually at the MSHSAA Class 1 Cross Country Championships. The Meadville team finished 9th out of 16 teams. Seckington’s 18.01 time was just 50 seconds behind the individual champion. Last week, Brookfield picked up it’s first football win in convincing fashion. This week the Bulldogs host the Macon Tigers. Brookfield Coach Scott Stevens says his defense must figure out how to slow down the Macon team. Last week Brookfield rolled over Highland 54-21. Macon stands at 4-2 with back to back losses.

Chillicothe Woman Arrested in Brookfield

A Chillicothe woman was one of two people arrested recently by the Brookfield Police Department. Brookfield officers were conducting a wellness check on a woman sitting on a sidewalk, picking up cigarette butts. Officers located 25 year old Melody Nichols of Chillicothe and found a Brookfield warrant for alleged Driving while Suspended or Revoked. She posted bond and was released. […]
