Chillicothe’s lone runner in the MSHSAA Cross Country Championships finished in the upper half of the competitors on Saturday. Lady Hornet Freshman Aliyah Briner was 75th out of 175 runners in the Class 3 Girls Race. Briner’s time was 20:51.9. Keithley/Zimmerman Tennis Season Ends

Chillicothe’s Girls Tennis Doubles team of Hunter Keithley and Hannah Zimmerman’s season is over. The Hornets duo lost in the state tournament first round game to a Cape Girardeau Notre Dame team 0-6, 1-6, then lost in the consolation bracket to a team from Mount Vernon 3-8. The Hornets duo finish with a record of 21-6, conference and district champions.
