Livingston County Sheriff’s Office Enforcement

The Livingston County Sheriff’s Department enforcement activities in October resulted in 24 citations issues.  Sheriff Steve Cox says the enforcement period was from October 12th to the 28th.  Twenty-three of the stops that resulted in citations were for speeding, 15 miles an hour or more over the speed limit.  There was also one citation for expired registration and no insurance. Sheriff’s Office Awarded Public Safety Contracts

The Livingston County Sheriff’s Department is the recipient of two contracts for traffic safety enforcement programs from the Missouri Department of Highway Safety.  Sheriff Steve Cox says the first contract is for $3,000 in Hazardous Moving Violation enforcement activities. Highway Patrol Conducts Enforcement Operation

The Missouri Highway Patrol conducted a special hazardous moving operations program in area counties on Sunday.  The program included Livingston and Caldwell Counties locally.  The operation resulted in four people arrested on drug charges and 33 tickets issues.  Troopers also issued 25 warnings.  The goal of the operation was to detect traffic violations that contribute to traffic crashes.

Weekend Enforcement At The Sheriff’s Office

The Livingston County Sheriff’s Department worked a Community Traffic Safety Project over the weekend resulting in numerous citations for speeding and other violations.  Sheriff Steve Cox says deputies were working the project Friday and Sunday.
