Speeding Leads To Drug Arrest
A traffic stop for speeding led to an arrest on drug charges. The Livingston County Sheriff’s Department arrested 21 year old Shyann M. Barron of St. Joseph following the traffic stop Thursday, for 20 miles an hour over the posted limit. The report states Barron was having problems identifying herself to the officers and further investigation showed she was allegedly in possession of Heroin, Methamphetamine, THC Oil, and Drug Paraphernalia.
Sheriff Steve Cox says in the booking process, she had been booked under a different name and they learned her real identity and she told the officers she was wanted on warrants in Buchanan County. In addition to the drug charges, she faces charges of alleged forgery/identity theft for trying to pass herself off as someone else during the booking.
