Chillicothe’s Cross Country teams competed in the Excelsior Springs Invitational on Tuesday. The Boys finished 13th out of 17 complete teams and the Lady Hornets were 6th out of 7 complete teams.
In the Boys Varsity race Hayden Simmer was 23rd and won a medal. Logan Asher was 39th, Peyton Forck 74th, Eric Kleinschmidt 91st, Tristian Forck 113th, Stephen Parkes 116th and Brady Bernskoetter was 120th.
On the Girls side, Kadence Shipers was 21st and earned a medal, Emma Burk was 36th, Callaway Chapman 39th, Kathryn George 49th, Olivia Lamp was 70th and Mayanna Weed was 75th.
In the Boys JV race Connor Douglas was 57th and Nathan Toole was 63rd.
In JV girls Emma Bernskoetter was 37th and earned a medal and in the C-Team girls race Kiera Bosley was 39th and Grace Bligh was 40th.
Coach Tim Riekena stated this was the largest meet of the regular season.
