State Troopers investigated two accidents in the local counties Thursday.
At 4:10 pm in Linn County, a truck driven by 15 year old Madeline Cowan of Meadville was westbound on Arrow Road, west of Meadville, and skidded on gravel. Cowan overcorrected and ran off the left side of the road and her pick-up overturned and hit a tree, coming to rest on its top. Cowan was not injured; her passenger, 16 year old Emily Gray of Meadville, had minor injuries and was taken to Hedrick Medical Center for treatment. They were wearing safety belts.
A Polo man had moderate injuries in a single vehicle accident on Missouri 116. At about 11:50 pm in Caldwell County, 25 year old Collin Correll was eastbound and ran off the road, overcorrected and ran off the road again and struck two trees. Correll was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center with Moderate injuries. He was wearing a safety belt.
