Chillicothe Fire Fighters responded to a truck fire Wednesday evening at Washington and Locust, near the YMCA. The call came in about 4:30 pm and the fire crew arrived a minute later to find a pick-up that had no fire showing. The driver, Michael Speckhals of Mooresville, stated they had poured some gasoline into the carburetor to get the truck started and as he was driving he saw flames coming from under the hood. He had poured water on the fire before the fire crew arrived. There were no injuries and the fire crew returned to service in about 7 minutes.
