CHS Girls Basketball Opens Season With Wins

The Chillicothe Junior Varsity and Varsity girls basketball teams picked up wins over Hamilton. The Varsity Girls beat Penney High of Hamilton 60 to 34.
Chillicothe scored the first eight points and held Penney scoreless for the first five minutes of the game.
Jordan Hibner led the Lady Hornets with 16 points including five treys in a row. Coach Darren Smith comments on Hibner’s efforts.

10 of Chillicothe’s 12 players in the game scored. In addition to Hibner’s 16 points, Hunter Keithley had 11, Maggie Pfaff with 8, Kennedie Kieffer with 7, Brooke Horton with 5, Essie Hicks with 4, Magy Thomas with 3, Laney Gatson, Maya Snyder and Haley Kidd each with 2. Others getting playing time were Catey Trout and Kiley Kirkpatrick .
Hamilton was led by Nora Ford with 13 points.

The Chillicothe Junior Varsity also won 44 to 18. Ella Leamer had 10 points for Chillicothe, Ellie Barnett with 8, Quincey Jessen with 6, Lucy Reeter with 5, Selby Miller with 4, Josie Reeter and Kennedy Corzette with 3 points each, Montana Hall and Kaylee Munson each with 2 and Clara Leamer with 1 point.
