Wiebers To Move From Trenton To Chillicothe For Superintendent Position

Dan Wiebers

The next Superintendent of Chillicothe Schools will come to Chillicothe from just up the road.  Trenton Superintendent Dan Wiebers accepted the position offered by the Chillicothe School Board in an executive session earlier this week.  Wiebers has served as Superintendent in Trenton since 2015.  Before becoming the Superintendent at Trenton, he served as the Principal of Trenton High School for nine years.

Mr. Wiebers holds an undergraduate degree in Secondary Social Sciences Education from the University of Northern Iowa, Masters and Educational Specialist Degrees from William Woods University, and will complete his Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from the University of Missouri in the spring of 2020.

Wiebers and his wife Tammie are looking forward to becoming a part of the Chillicothe School District and community.  Their family includes three school aged children, Sam, Statler, and Slade, and a daughter Grace, who attends UMKC.  They plan to move to Chillicothe over the summer.

Wiebers says he looks forward to getting to know the staff, patrons, and students of the district.  He went on to state he is impressed by the work the Board of Education and the Chillicothe School District has accomplished and he is excited to oversee the continued improvement of the district.
