Three Injured In Accidents Around The Area Tuesday

State Troopers investigated three injury accidents in the area counties Tuesday.

At 5:30 am in Mercer County, a single vehicle accident left the driver with minor injuries.  Fifty-two year old Ross Elrick of Trenton was taken to Wright Memorial Hospital with minor injuries following the accident on US 65, just north of Spickard.  According to the report Elrick lost control on a patch of ice and went off the west side of the road and his Jeep overturned.  Elrick’s passenger, 27 year old Andrew May was also taken to the hospital but refused treatment.  They were wearing safety belts.

At about 8:30 am, a single vehicle accident left the driver with minor injuries.  43 year old Brandy Knapp was taken to Wright Memorial Hospital following the accident on Route Z, 10 miles east of Trenton.  The report states Knapp lost control on the snow covered road and went off the road and her SUV overturned.  She was wearing a safety belt.

A two vehicle accident on Missouri 139 near Green City Tuesday afternoon left one of the drivers with moderate injuries.  Fifty-eight year old Patricia Roouse of Green City was taken to a hospital in Kirksville following the accident that happened when Roouse was southbound and crossed the centerline, striking a Mack Truck head on.  The truck driver was not injured.  Roouse was wearing a safety belt.
