FREE Prescribed Burn Workshop

Learning the proper methods to use fire to control brush and remove accumulated cover, while improving the growing conditions in pastures and hayfields is called a controlled or prescribed burn.  A FREE Workshop will be offered in early January near Linneus to discuss the planning and process for a prescribed or controlled burn.  Valarie Tate from the University of Missouri Extension Program says the Prescribed Burning for Grassland Management workshop will cover several important points.

The workshop will be held Saturday, January 5th at the 9:00 am at the MU Forage Systems Research Center.
