Traffic crashes in Missouri over the Christmas Holiday took the lives of six people, including a Kansas City man, 80 year old Edward R. Gault, who died in Livingston County on Christmas Eve.
In addition to the traffic fatalities, The Highway Patrol reported 294 crashes resulting in 80 injuries. They also reported 106 arrests for Driving While Intoxicated.
The Highway Patrol Statistics show the numbers were generally lower than 2017, when there were 491 crashes, 5 fatalities, and 125 injuries. DWI’s were up 15% from last year’s 92 arrests
