Hornets Take Fourth at LeBlond Tournament

Accurate three point shooting was the difference in a Hornets Tournament loss Saturday. St Michael the Archangel of Lee’s Summit beat Chillicothe 69-61 in the Bishop LeBlond Tournament third place game.
Chillicothe led by ten points at halftime but was outscored 42-23 in the second half. St Michael had twice as many made three point baskets in the game, and went 8 of 11 at the free throw line in the fourth quarter.
Chillicothe was led by Westley Brandsgaard. The Junior finished with a double-double with 27 points and 13 rebounds. CJ Pfaff and Hayden Simmer each had ten points, Bradley Riley with seven, Peyton Forck with five, Mason Baxter with two and playing time for Hunter Swift.
After the game, Hornets Coach Tim Cool stated St Michael “Just had too many weapons”. Chillicothe falls to 8-4 and St Michael improves to 7-4
