Read Your Child 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten

Reading 1,000 books to your child before they start Kindergarten can give that child a jump start on their education.  The Livingston County Library Children’s Department Director, Jodi Moore says they offer the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program.

Moore says, while the child may not be able to read, they are learning some of the words as they follow along with the reading.

Moore says the time spent reading to a child in those first several years strengthens the bond between child and parent.
