Huntsville Woman Injured After Falling Asleep While Driving
A Huntsville woman had minor injuries when she fell while driving asleep at about 6:25 am. The accident happened on US 36, 2 miles east of Brookfield. The Highway Patrol reports 25 year old Marissa Avila of Huntsville, Missouri was westbound when she fell asleep and ran off the right side of the road and struck a guard rail and went down an embankment. Avila was taken to Pershing Memorial Hospital in Brookfield for treatment. She was NOT wearing a safety belt.
