There are now candidates for all of the Chillicothe elected offices that have duties with the city. Kathy Gilliland filed Thursday for the City Auditor’s office. She is the only candidate to file for City Auditor at this time.
There was also another filing for the 3rd Ward Council seat. Buell Applebury filed Thursday and will face John E Plaster for the seat in the April election.
There are two other offices with no candidates, but those office have no responsibilities, City Attorney and City Treasurer, and the pay for those offices is $1 a year.
Filing for Chillicothe city offices take place at Chillicothe City Hall and the last day to file is Tuesday, January 15th. Filing will close at 5:00 pm.
