The Chillicothe Fire Department responded to a jack-knifed semi on US 36 Saturday afternoon. The incident happened at about 2:30 pm on US 36 near Pleasant Grove Church (LIV255).
The truck owned by OutWest Express was found in the median and the drivers side fuel tank had been punctured and had leaked about 45 gallons of diesel fuel. The Fire crew used three sticks of modeling clay to plug the four inch gash in the tank.
No injuries were reported in the accident and the fire crew was on the scene for about 40 minutes.
