The Chillicothe Lady Hornets led almost the entire game in a 53-28 home win over East Buchanan. Chillicothe’s outside shooting helped the Lady Hornets effort. They hit 6 of 19 from behind the arc to East Buchanan’s 1 of 4.
Coach Darren Smith said that helped open up the inside game for his team.
Chillicothe was led by Hunter Keithley with 14, Kennedie Kieffer and Jordan Hibner each had eight points. Haley Kidd, Laney Gaston and Lucy Reeter each had five points. Maya Snyder, Kiley Kirkpatrick, Maggie Pfaff and Catey Trout each had two points.
Playing but not scoring were Magy Thomas, Essie Hicks, Selby Miller and Brooke Horton.
Chillicothe improves to 12-4 on the season and plays Bishop LeBlond Monday at 4:00pm in the opening game of the Cameron Tournament.
