Several Arrests Are In the Chillicothe Police Report

The Chillicothe Police Department reports several arrests and investigations since Friday.

Friday at about 9:00 am, officers arrested Joseph Allen Vargas on a Chillicothe Warrant for alleged Failure to Appear.  He posted bond and was released.

Friday at about 9:35 am, Officers arrested Nicki Lynn Swank in the 700 block of Elm St on a Livingston County warrant.  She was unable to post bond and was held at the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.

At about 10:15 am, Officers took a report of possible stealing in the 600 block of Business 36.

At 2:10 pm, Officers arrested Kyleigh Elaine Rothmann in the 3100 block of Litton Rd, on a Chillicothe warrant for an alleged for a probation violation.  She was held at the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.

At 4:55 pm, Officers responded to a possible missing juvenile in the 1000 block of Grandview Ave.  The child was found safe.

At 5:40 pm, Officers were called to a dispute over property and trespassing in the 100 block of Polk St.  As a result, they arrested Matthew Aaron Case for alleged tampering with a motor vehicle and trespassing.  He was held at the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.

Saturday, February 2nd

Saturday, at 3:15 am, Officers were called to the 1400 block of McVey St for a person that had passed away.  They were assisted by the Livingston County Coroner’s Office and Chillicothe Department of Emergency Services.

At about 10:20 pm, Officers responded to a disturbance in the 200 block of Business 36.  They were called back to the location at about 10:40 pm.

Sunday, February 3rd

At 5:50 am, Officers were dispatched to suspicious activity in the 1000 block of Walnut St. They returned to the same area at about 6:05 am.

At 2:30 pm, a possible burglary was reported in the 300 block of Cherry St.

At about 5:00 pm, possible child abuse was reported in the 1000 block of Locust St.  Officers were assisted by the Livingston County Children’s Division.
