Chillicothe’s Planning & Zoning Commission

Chillicothe’s Planning and Zoning Commission held a meeting Monday.  They had three topics on the agenda.

First up was a preliminary plat request for a planned unit development and diving a property at the end of McCormick into three pieces.  Tammi Venneman says a preliminary plat was approved with a request for a revision before final approval.

They are expected to make the changes and will return for the approval that is then passed on to City Council.

Venneman says the other two items are looking at the current zoning with consideration for changes in the future.

The first area of concern is online home-based businesses and requiring licenses and determining if it is appropriate for the area of town.

The second is for tiny homes.

She says they would like to hear from the public on the zoning issues and you can call city hall at 646-2424 to voice your concerns, comment or ask questions.
