Hornets Wrestling Sends 10 to State Meet

Despite having no individual district champions, the Hornets wrestling team will send ten members to the State Wrestling Tournament. It is the second most number of state qualifying wrestlers in school history.
Cameron won the team title and will also send ten to state. Host Excelsior Springs was second and Chillicothe tied Benton for third in the team standings out of 15 teams.
Individually for Chillicothe:
Second Place for 120 pound Connor Keithley, 132 pound Colten Sewell, 220 pound Matt Callen and 285 pound Keegan Valdez.
Third Place for 138 pound Lavery Jones, 152 pound Dawson Wheeler, 182 pound Donald McCracken and 195 pound Isaih Kille.
Fourth place for 106 pound Sheldon Rader and 113 pound Aiden Zimmerman.
Wrestling but not finishing in the top four of their weight class were 126 pound Gage Leamer, 145 pound Jacob Chapman, 160 pound Kaleb Mullikin and 170 pound Nickolas Heldenbrand. All four were one win away from qualifying.
