Click-It or Ticket & Enforcement In Chillicothe Police Report

Animals and unlicensed drivers are in the Chillicothe Police Department report for Thursday.

11:05 am, Officers responded to southern end of South Washington street on a report that some Geese had mistakenly chosen the pavement for a landing strip.  Traffic was swerving to avoid them.  Officers investigated and the Geese had already taken flight.

11:50 am, Officers investigated theft from a business in the 1000 block of Graves Street.  A suspect had placed an item in a shopping cart and exited the store without paying for the item.

2:00 pm Officer made a traffic stop in the 200 block of Cowgill St.  The driver had a revoked license.   The vehicle was towed from the scene.  The driver was held at the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail after officers found they had been cited for the same thing shortly before, by the Highway Patrol.

6:05 pm, Officer performed a well-being check in the 1800 block Of Fairchild.   The officers entered the home and the resident was found to be in need of assistance.  Emergency Services arrived on scene and transported the individual for treatment.

7:00 pm, Officer stopped vehicle for traffic violation and found the operator to have a suspended license.  They were processed and released

8:10 pm, Officer responded to the 200 block of Cowgill Street where it was reported someone had taken a large quantity of medication and alcohol.  The person was taken to Hedrick Medical Center for evaluation and treatment.

9:15 pm, Officers arrested the suspect of a previous theft, at a business in the 1100 block of Walnut St. which is the same location as the original theft.  They were processed and held at the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.

Chillicothe Officers were out in force for a “Click It or Ticket” seat belt mobilization on Valentine’s Day. Officers made numerous traffic stops and several tickets and warnings were issued.
