The Chillicothe Lady Hornets basketball team had few problems in a 46-21 win at Lafayette. The Conference victory gives Chillicothe 3rd place in the MEC behind Benton and St Pius X.
Chillicothe Senior Kennedie Kieffer had another big night with a double-double. Kieffer had 13 points and 10 rebounds. Hunter Keithley also had 13 points and four assists. Others scoring for Chillicothe were Jordan Hibner with six, Maggie Pfaff with four and Magy Thomas with three points.
Lucy Reeter and Brooke Horton had two each and Catey Trout had a free throw.
Also playing but not scoring were Kiley Kirkpatrick, Selby Miller and Laney Gaston.
In a statistical abnormality, Lafayette didn’t shoot any free throws, while Chillicothe committed just nine fouls the entire game.
The Chillicothe JV Lady Hornets also won easily 38 – 13. Selby Miller had eight points. 14 girls played for Chillicothe with 11 of them scoring points.
