Chillicothe High School will host a boys and girls Class 1 state sectional basketball games tonight.
The boys game will be first between Linn County of Purdin and Slater.
Linn County is 12-8 and averages 64.6 points per game while Slater stands at 21-5 and averages 67.3 points per game. Slater beat Northwestern of Mendon in the district semi-finals and Meadville in the championship, two teams that Linn County lost to in the regular season.
The girls game starts at 8:30 tonight between Green City and Tina-Avalon.
Green City Lady Gophers are 22-4 on the season and average 58.5 points per game while the Tina Avalon Lady Dragons are 17-4 and average 35.5 points per game.
Both teams have beaten common opponents earlier this season.
This is the first meeting between the two teams since December 2014.
