Heavy rain and hail are possible this afternoon and continued rainfall through Saturday morning could mean the Grand River will rise again to near or above flood stage.
The forecast for today includes some thunderstorms that could produce periods of heavy rain and hail. Tonight through Saturday morning, total rainfall could be around 2 inches with higher amounts possible.
The Grand River at Chillicothe is expected to rise but remain well below flood stage.
At Sumner, minor flooding is expected as the river will rise to 27.6 feet Saturday night. Flood stage is 26 feet.
At Brunswick, minor flooding has been extended into mid-week next week. The river is at 23.5 feet this morning and will fall slightly before a new crest of 23.9 feet Sunday night.
