Flood Warnings On The Grand River

0Flooding on the Grand River will continue into the month of April.  The National Weather Service predicts flooding on the Grand River at Sumner will begin Saturday afternoon and at Brunswick, minor flooding will continue well into next week.

At Sumner, minor and moderate flooding is expected as the river will rise above flood stage of 26 feet Saturday morning and crest at about 30 feet Saturday night.  The river is expected to fall back below flood stage on Monday.

At Brunswick, minor flooding has been extended into the middle of next week.  The river is at 22.8 feet this morning and falling, but is expected to rise again starting Saturday morning and a new crest of 23.9 feet is expected Sunday night.  The river will stay above flood stage at least until Wednesday and will be affected by the flood waters on the Missouri River.
