Area Road Work Week of April 8

The recent warmer weather has ignited the Missouri Department of Transportation work crews to continue working on area roads.

A Department Spokesperson said continued flooding may cause schedule changes in some of the planned work.

The scheduled work in the KCHI listening area includes:

Livingston County – no immediate work scheduled.

Caldwell County – Route Z closed April 11-12 for a culvert replacement from SW Texas Road to SW Ore Road.

Carroll County – Route 65 Bridge maintenance at the Missouri River Overflow Bridge April 8-12th.

Chariton County – US Route 24 bridge maintenance at Long Creek Bridge and Chariton River Bridge near Keytesville. The bridges will be narrowed to one lane with a 15-foot width restriction through May 31st.

Linn County – Route 139 closes April 8th 7:30 am to 3:00 pm for a culvert replacement from Argo Road to Artic Road. Route 36 pothole patching from Macon County Line to 139 April 8th – 10th, Highway 36 pavement repair from Route 129 to Route 5 April 8-10th and from Route 5 to Route F April 11-12th

Sullivan County – Route 139 closed at Newtown Branch Bridge for bridge replacement project. Route PP closed at East Medicine Creek Bridge, scheduled for replacement and Route BB closes at Rooks Branch Bridge for bridge deck replacement
