The Chillicothe Police Department report for Tuesday includes an accident and an arrest.
1:30 am, Officers responded to a commercial business alarm in the 500 block of West Business 36 Highway. The deliveryman activated the alarm.
7:35 am, an accident was reported in the 2600 block of Washington Street. Officers determined a vehicle driven by Dimitri Jack Hurst Dickerson pulled onto Washington and failed to yield the right of way to a vehicle driven by Haley Colleen Kidd, as Kidd was southbound. No injuries were reported. Dickerson was cited for failure to yield resulting in an accident.
10:05 am, Officers took a report of a vehicle leaving the scene of an accident in the 500 block of Park Lane.
12:45 pm, Officer investigated a report of burglary and theft at a home in the 400 block of Calhoun Street. Investigation continuing.
12:55 pm, Careless and Imprudent driving was reported as a vehicle was southbound on US-65toward Chillicothe. There were also reports that the vehicle struck the curb as pulling into Hedrick Medical Center lot. They found the person was having a medical issue.
3:00 pm, Officers made an arrest in the 1100 block of Oak Street. The arrest was made due to a previously reported assault. The suspect was held at the Daviess/DeKalb County Regional Jail.
4:30 pm, Officers responded to a report of possible child abuse taking place in the 700 block of Elm Street. Determined the child was misbehaving and was being disciplined.
