Chillicothe Police Report For Wednesday

Chillicothe Police responded to an accident and handles several calls for service Wednesday.

7:45 am, there was an accident at Highway 190 and Hornet Drive.  The report says it was a minor accident and one of the drivers and a child in her vehicle were taken to Hedrick medical center for treatment of possible injuries.  The other driver was cited for following too close, no registration and no insurance.

Noon, Officers took a report of a tire damaged in the 200 block of Walnut Street.  The report states the tire appears to have been slashed with a sharp-edged instrument.

12:20 pm, Officers checked a traffic complaint of a vehicle that was being operated carelessly as it was southbound in the 600 block of Washington Street and continuing southbound.  They were unable to locate the vehicle.

3:25 pm, Officers responded to the 1400 block of Polk Street in reference to a domestic disturbance. The disturbance was determined to be verbal only with no arrests being made.

4:45 pm, An incident on a school bus was reported to an Officer and the complainant will contact the School Resource Officer.

5:20 pm, Officers investigated a report of some items taken off a school bus at Shaffer Park.  The School Resource Officer later recovered the items.

6:30 pm, Officers responded to a two-vehicle crash at Jackson and Easton Street.  A northbound vehicle failed to yield to a vehicle that was westbound on Jackson Street. No injuries were reported

7:30 pm, Officers made an arrest on a warrant in the 100 block of West Business 36.  That person was not able to post bond and was taken to the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.

11:20 pm, Officer checked some people at the boat ramp on South Highway 65.  They were OK.

11:50 pm, Officers responded to a disturbance at Hedrick Medical Center with individuals reporting having received injuries in an accident on Hornet Drive.
