Flood Warnings continue this morning for the Grand River at Sumner and Brunswick and for Wakenda Creek in Carrollton.
For the Grand River,
At Sumner, flood stage is 26 feet and moderate flooding continues with the river at 30.27 feet this morning. Flooding is expected to continue at Sumner until Saturday morning.
At Brunswick, flood stage is 19 feet and the river is at 23.5 feet. Moderate flooding continues at Brunswick. The river should fall back below flood stage Saturday evening.
The Wakenda Creek at Carrollton remains above flood stage of 16 feet. The reading this morning was 19.25 feet and flooding is expected to continue until late tonight.
ROADS CLOSED
The Missouri Department of Transportation reports a few roads in the area counties remain closed this morning due to flooding.
Carroll County:
Highway 10 is closed, west of Carrollton
Chariton County:
Route J is closed south of US 24
Route E closed at Rothville
Route DD closed at Mussel Fork Creek
