When you get out of your car or truck, lock it up. As the weather gets warmer, we like to leave windows open in our vehicle so they don’t get too hot, but that leaves our valuables at risk. Chillicothe Police Chief Jon Maples says don’t leave any temptation for would-be thieves.
Maples says even better, lock your vehicles.
If you are a victim of theft of items from your vehicle, Maples says Report It!
He says your report may provide that piece of information or evidence needed for an arrest or may prompt officers to patrol your neighborhood more and they could solve more than one theft in the area. To make a report, call the police department at 646-2121. If you feel it is an emergency, call 911.
