Chillicothe Police Report For The Weekend

A sexual assault and a couple of arrests are in the Chillicothe Police Department report for the weekend.

Friday Night:

11:05 pm, Officers responded to Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton on a report of a sexual assault victim at that location after having been assaulted at a location in Chillicothe.  Investigation continuing.

11:40 pm, Responded to a report of two people walking on Third Street toward Washington, possibly intoxicated.  Officers were told of an injured person subject in 300 block of Vine Street at about the same time.  The injured party was reluctant to prosecute for injuries received and Officers unable to locate any suspect nearby after checking the neighborhood.  The victim was taken to Hedrick Medical Center for treatment of a head injury.

Saturday:

4:00 am, Officers responded to a report of a possibly intoxicated driver near the south junction.

5:30 pm, Tractor-trailer in 1100 block of Calhoun Street tore down some low hanging utility lines.  Truck operator was contacted.

6:15 pm, Officers responded to a business in the 200 block of West Business 36 for an odor of an illegal substance.  Officers arrested a person for alleged possession of a controlled substance.

6:40 pm, Officer was called to the 1300 block of Calhoun Street for a report of possible drug paraphernalia having been found by residents.  Items to be destroyed.

9:15 pm, Report of a vehicle on Washington Street, swerving and striking curbs near Washington and Third Streets.  Officer unable to locate the vehicle and it was stated as southbound out of City.  Information was transmitted to local law enforcement agencies.

Sunday:

2:05 pm, A traffic stop near Second and Locust resulted in the driver being arrested for alleged possession of controlled substance and paraphernalia. The driver was held at the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.

2:45 pm, Officer assisted Highway Patrol and Sheriff’s Department with traffic control for an accident that occurred on US 65, north of town.

8:20 pm, Officer responded to a Juvenile issue in the 300 block of Dickinson Street where the juvenile had left the residence.   The juvenile was located and returned to the residence.  Information was gathered for a report.

9:50 pm, Officers assisted another agency caseworker, with a subject in the 300 block of Dickinson Street.  The person was not cooperating with the caseworker and left the scene.  The person was located by Officer and returned.

11:15 pm, Officer checked possible animal neglect in the 1000 block of Broadway Street.  The owner was contacted and the situation was handled by Officer.
