The Chillicothe Lady Hornets Soccer team scored twice in the first half to beat Kirksville for the fourth time this season. The Lady Hornets 2-0 win earned them the District Championship for just the second time in school history.
Chillicothe’s goals came from Ellie Barnett right in front of the goal for her first varsity score. The second was from Sarah Graves off a Makayla Vance Assist.
Coach Shannon Grable said this was a well earned victory
Kennedie Kieffer picked up her 16th shut out of the year. The Lady Hornets are now 17-4 and will host Maryville in the first round of the state tournament on Saturday evening.
Chillicothe beat Maryville on the road 1-0 on May 10th. The Lady Spoofhounds are 11-7 on the season.
