Sliced Bread Legislation Headed To The Governor

Legislation for Sliced Bread Day was approved by the Missouri House of Representatives Thursday evening.  Representative Rusty Black says the Senate combined the legislation with another bill before sending it back for house approval.

The bill also declares the state mushroom.

Black says at about 5:40 Thursday, the House passed the bill on a vote of 137 – 6 and the bill will be sent to the governor for his approval.

Black says he was so confident in the passage that he had already put in a request that the legislation be signed by the governor at Sliced Bread Day in Chillicothe.
